Recently, WhatsApp has rolled out the Dark mode, increased the group voice and video call limit from four to eight, restricted frequently forwarded messages to multiple chats at once and more. Let’s find out about some of the new features of WhatsApp.

This icon can be used to create messenger-like rooms directly. The feature will also work on the computer version of WhatsApp.

Upcoming new features
WhatsApp QR code
WhatsApp is working on a new feature; which lets you add new contacts just by scanning a QR code. Create a separate QR code for each user. Users will be able to display their own contact QR code as well as scan the QR code of others to add to their contacts. The feature is already available in beta versions of both Android and iOS platforms and WhatsApp is expected to roll out to stable versions soon.
Multiple device support
WhatsApp has been testing support for multiple devices for months. Once enabled, the feature allows users to log in to their WhatsApp accounts on multiple devices at the same time. Currently, users can log in to their WhatsApp account on one device. Once the same account is logged in to another device, it is automatically logged out of the first device. Also now you can take advantage of login to desktop with QR code from a mobile.
This is another feature that WhatsApp has been working on for a long time. As WhatsApp storage or status disappears after 24 hours, users will soon be able to send messages that automatically disappear after a certain period of time. The naming messages feature of the self-destruct or disappearing messages feature has been deleted and is expected to arrive in a stable version soon.
WhatsApp is working on an application browser feature that allows users to open links sent within the messaging application without redirecting to the web browser. Application browser features reduce the time it takes to open links. The feature is available on other apps, including Twitter and LinkedIn; WhatsApp expects the feature to work similarly.
