Sony Pictures Peter Rabbit 2:The Runaway will release on the big screen earlier than expected. The studio shifted the release date up by a month and will now arrive in theatres on May 14. Sony Pictures released the film in Australia on March 25th 2021, in the United States and the United Kingdom on May 14. It was originally set to be released in the United States in February 2020, before April 2020.
The release date was set for March 19 in Australia and March 27 in the United Kingdom. The film was again delayed to 7 August 2020 due to the subsequent COVID-19 epidemic. It was then delayed in the United States until January 15, then April 2, and then June 11. Sony Pictures Studios has set May 14th 2021 as the release date.

The film is a sequel to the 2018 Peter Rabbit and is based on the story of Peter Rabbit, created by Beatrix Potter. The film stars James Corden in the title role, Rose Byrne, Dominal Gleason, and David Welway in live-action roles and is voiced by Elizabeth Debiki and Margot Robbie.
